Increasing Demand for Telepractice - Speech & Occupation Therapy

Increasing Demand for Telepractice Speech and Occupational Therapy

Oxford Consulting Services is increasingly responding to requests for virtual speech and occupational therapy services to meet the IEP needs of students. Schools across North America and around the globe are facing shortages of Speech and Occupational Therapists. Finding and retaining a therapist is increasingly difficult for schools spread across a wide geographic area and those with bilingual needs.

For more than 4 years, Oxford has successfully collaborated with an exceptional partner to provide online, face to face speech and occupational therapy to public and private schools.

Think Online Therapy is Ineffective? Think again.

In a side-by-side study comparing online therapy through our partner and traditional, in person therapy 84% of students in our online therapy group achieved their IEP goals, compared to only 46% in the traditional in-person group.

Oxford virtual therapy features:

·        Personalized activities that improve student engagement

·        Elite team of therapists focused on student success

·        Therapy plans that drive toward goals & student discharge

A great bonus is that students are excited and think its fun to see and interact with their speech therapist on the computer!

The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association provides a wonderful overview of Telepractice, including its effectiveness, areas of use, and roles and responsibilities of therapists.  Click on the link below to access:
